Introducing Trish Mears

​​Trish Mears is thrilled to be part of Her Umbrella Magazine Issue 3. “It is such a great publication, celebrating the amazing women in our community and I’m humbled and excited to be part of the next issue”.
Trish is Manager, Marketing, Communications and Events at Best Practice Software, one of Australia’s leading medical software companies, with its Head Office here in Bundaberg. She was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bundaberg and District Chamber of Commerce. “The Bundaberg Region is a wonderful place to do business, but it’s also a wonderful place to bring up a family, with a strong sense of community”.

​Trish’s community connections straddle many sectors. She is Patron of Bundaberg Relay for Life, Chair of the Bundaberg Catholic Parish Stewardship Council, Secretary of Bundaberg Players Inc and sits on many committees, including the Bundaberg Health Services Foundation, UQ Rural Clinical School Community Advisory Committee, Moore Park Beach Business Collective and Moore Park Beach Veteran Car Rally Festival and is Co-Editor of the Moore Park Beach Shorelines magazine.

​She has also been a Marriage Celebrant for the past six years and MCs many major events, including the visit by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales last year (where Paul Beutel captured this photo of Trish MCing). “Community connections are the glue that hold our region together” Trish said. “I love helping create and foster those connections. As individuals we can do a lot, but when we work together we’re unstoppable”.
